About Us
MO’VET Entertainment, LLC. (MO’VET) was formed in 2008 by Dwight Jackson and Barbara Hudson as an entertainment production company to specialize in the utilization and maximization of current entertainment business opportunities associated with stage plays featuring real world situational issues. MO’VET prides itself in being a rather innovative and creative group, not given easily to the molding of the masses into narrow visions of traditional entertainment companies. Instead, MO’VET sees the business opportunity to provide quality entertainment with a twist of faith and comedy, while simultaneously providing performers with a venue to develop and expose their talents.
For many years, audiences have overwhelmingly supported religious and gospel musical stage plays and productions. MO’VET intends to take advantage of this historical interest by the public by developing and promoting a variety of secular and non-secular plays across the country.

Vincent Simpkins – Executive Producer / Director Marketing & Sales
Vincent Simpkins, a New York native born under the sign of Leo, began his music journey at the early age of five. Starting with Little Zion Baptist Church in Brooklyn he sang the legendary spiritual song “Going over Yonder”. The church family roared with excitement. At this point being highly influenced by his mother, who was also his vocal teacher, he took to heart her words of wisdom “Son take this seriously. You have the gift.”
At the separation of his parents, his mother decided to move Vincent, the youngest of three, and his siblings to her hometown, Charlotte, North Carolina. During his attendance in high school, Vincent realized that singing was his true passion and his talent flourished. He started out with the Boys’ Choir of Charlotte, where he became the lead soloist. In high school he won first place in state finals and two national competitions. Later on, he sang with the General Baptist State Convention Choir where he won first place soloist and group competitions.
Shortly after high school, being disappointed with the lack of musical connection within the North Carolina area he decided to move back to New York wher he ventured into a very successful modeling career as an independent appearing on billboards, runways and publications hoping this would be a path that would put his face in the public’s eye. Later on he was able to break into off Broadway stage plays performing as an actor. Some of his performances were in plays such as “A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND” where he played the lead role of Damion Marshall and in the stage play “CAN YOU HELP MY CHILD,” where he played the lead father role of Willie Brooks.
The experience of the stage plays was very rewarding for him where he learned how to direct, enhance and rewrite roles and songs for stellar performances. This was his connection for his true passion - to write and sing music. On his days off, he hung out with gold and platinum producers such as Kevin Odom, Dave Deberry and Dennis Washington to name a few. The excitement inspired him to try his own hand at the wheel of production. Since 2001, he has grown tremendously in this area of work and has maintained a radio quality sound in genres of R&B, Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz and of course, Gospel. His latest completed work is ‘Engine Four’ a documentary about North Carolina’s first integrated firehouse which took place in Winston Salem, 1951 where he was the narrator and also wrote the song “Don’t Let My Work Be In Vain”. He is currently working on a Big Band album scheduled for completion by the year’s end.
Vincent now resides in Charlotte where he produces music for local vocalists and groups in different genres. He also mentors, coaches, directs and produces small plays in his spare time helping others learn these wonderful crafts.
